Netflix renews Firefly Lane for second season
Firefly Lane stars Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke have announced in a video that Netflix has renewed the series for a second season. Watch the announcement below where the pair also answered a few fan questions…
Based on the novel by Kristin Hannah, when unlikely duo Tully (Heigl) and Kate (Chalke) meet at age 14, they couldn’t be more different. Tully is the brash and bold girl you can’t ignore, while Kate is the mousy shy girl you never notice. But when a tragedy brings them together, they are bonded for life forever inseparable best friends. Together they experience 30 years of ups and downs, triumphs and disappointments, heartbreak and joy and a love triangle that strains their friendship. One goes on to fabulous wealth and fame, the other chooses marriage and motherhood, but through the decades, their bond remains until it faces the ultimate test.

A flashback to the past in the 1970s revealed Bud and his wife Margie (Chelah Horsdal) had an argument stoked by Tully’s mother Cloud (Beau Garrett).
Bud warned Margie he knew about her affair and told her she had to choose between him and the other man.
Young Tully (Ali Skovbye) and Young Kate (Roan Curtis) also knew about the extramarital relations but hadn’t said anything.
Judging by Margie and Bud still being married later on, it appeared she made her decision.

Eat your ‘Hart” out! Netflix’s new drama series Firefly Lane kicked off with loads of drama and an enticing plotline. Spanning multiple decades, the series follows childhood best friends Kate Malarkey and Tully Hart through their tumultuous and often conflicting lives.
Early on in the first and only season, the audience is transported from the past into the show’s present-day where the characters are attending a funeral. However, whose funeral it is remains a mystery until the season’s ending.
