According to BPS Deputy Cheif Danny MacPhee, they were made aware of the event last week when the organizers reached out and told them it was their intent to follow all health and safety protocols. MacPhee says officers were dispatched to monitor the event which took place Saturday. While the officers were on the scene they didn’t witness any infractions. He added that the group organizing the event had not applied for a traffic permit or rental agreement for Shipyards Laning for the event to take place, but he noted that was not unusual for rallies like this.
