2020 has been anything but typical, however.
On Nov. 2, six Central Lee High School students created a meal including a maple roasted squash and feta salad appetizer; an entree consisting of apple stuffed pork with maple bacon chutney sauce and sweet potatoes with cabbage and Brussels sprouts; and a caramel apple cheesecake for dessert.
Pork was the protein competitors were required to use, as selected by IHCC Iron Chef Competition judges. The theme was âTaste of Fall.â Competitors had two hours to cook their meals.
Several judges were selected from the ranks of Central Lee Community School District employees. They judged each course based on taste, appearance, menu design, kitchen execution and video.
