and forth between new york city and washington about whether or not congress gets it when it comes to spending, when it comes to the decifit, the debt ceiling? you know, they re in mayor meetings all day long and prapz that s where they re getting theistrate strategy together but it doesn t seem like there s a public face ton yet. i had a chance to talk to a freshman lawmaker, a republican lawmaker, and it seems they are a little shocked that they knew the situation was bad but after their orientation over the past three weeks, they didn t realize it was as bad as it was. the subways are like the dog that caught the car, what do you do with it now and they realize that they re going to be on the hook for proposing the cuts and the president is going to have to meet them on some level. that s what america is demanding. bill: you say even they have received sticker shock. they pull back the curtain and it s like wow, what s there. it s evens worse than what they thought it was. bil
