The population of Union Island geckos plummeted due to growing demand from the illegal international pet trade, but conservationists working with locals in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have helped boost its numbers.
The unveiling of repatriated stolen artefacts from various archaeological periods was conducted by the St Vincent and the Grenadines National Trust on Saturday, June 4. Items recovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in the United States of America and delivered to the Embassy of St Vincent and the Grenadines in Washington in January of this year have found their way back home.
