The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad got its signature win of the early season by knocking off arch rival class 1A #11 Twin Cedars 3-2 Thursday night. The Saints grabbed the lead on a single by Kynser Reed and another single by Paeytn Anderson in the first inning to make it 3-2 following the Sabers early scoring. After that, both teams were strong in the circle with the Saints BrieAnna Remster allowing just four hits striking out five and walking just one Saber batter. Kynser Reed went 2/3 at the plate with two RBI. Grace Bailey started her 4th game of the year and pitched all six innings giving up 3 earned runs, all in the first inning. Jullian French collected both the RBI’s for the Sabers in the first inning. The Saints Baseball Squad, for the second straight night, scored 11 runs and knocked off Twin Cedars 11-6.
