Crunch roll past Comets, 5-2
The Syracuse Crunch rolled past the Utica Comets, 5-2, today at the Upstate Medical University Arena. Jimmy Huntington and Cole Koepke led the team with a goal and an assist each, while Chase Priskie, Peter Abbandonato and Andreas Borgman contributed goals to advance the team to 16-9-2-0 on the season. The Crunch are now 5-4-1-0 in the 14-game season series with the Comets.
Goaltender Ryan Bednard earned his second consecutive win in net for the Crunch turning aside 36-of-38 shots. Michael DiPietro stopped 27-of-31 between the pipes for the Comets. Syracuse was unable to convert on their one power play opportunity, but went a perfect 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.

Comets 2-Game Win Streak Interrupted Sunday in Syracuse
The Utica Comets took the momentum from 2 home wins into Syracuse on Sunday afternoon, but three 1st-period Crunch goals quickly shifted momentum.
Goaltender Mike DiPietro started out strong in the 1st-period by turning away five shots on goal as the Crunch came out shooting. The next shot by Syracuse came at 7:11 when Crunch defenseman Chase Priskie stepped in for a shot that went wide off the end-boards. Priskie took advantage of his own rebound and fired a shot that got past DiPietro. Two more unanswered goals would get into the Comets net as the first-period ended with a 3-0 Syracuse lead.
Utica Comets slip past Syracuse Crunch in overtime, 2-1

Utica, N.Y. The Syracuse Crunch came back to force overtime, but fell to the Utica Comets, 2-1, Wednesday at the Adirondack Bank Center.
The Comets opened scoring in the third period, but Chase Priskie netted his first of the season to tie the game before Utica scored the game-winner in the overtime frame. The loss snaps a five-game winning streak and moves the Crunch to 15-8-2-0 on the season and 4-4-1-0 in the 14-game season series with the Comets.
Crunch goaltender Spencer Martin turned aside 28-of-39 shots. Jake Kielly stopped all six shots he faced in net for the Comets before being relieved by Joel Hofer in the first period. Hofer went on to stop 25-of-26. Syracuse was unable to convert on their one power play opportunity, but went a perfect 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
