Under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, the Chas Municipal Corporation has commenced an extensive drain cleaning drive across various wards to mitigate waterlogging issues ahead of the monsoon season.

Water supply has commenced in the Chas Municipal Corporation area as of Saturday. Through the Chas Water Treatment Plant, piped water supply has been initiated to 35 wards within the municipal region. In areas facing water supply issues, water is being delivered via tankers to the residents.
Chas Municipal Corporation sealed six apartments in Chira Chas as per the orders of Jharkhand Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The reason behind the sealing was not disclosed. The buildings were unoccupied, raising questions about the fate of buyers. The case involved Upendra Prasad vs Raj Buildtech Company Limited. Buildings sealed include Golden Castle Luxury Apartment, Maa Saraswati Plaza, Ganga Heights, Maa Lakshmi Apartment, Maa Tara Apartment, and Maa Durga Apartment in Chira Chas.
