Maria massachusetts voters are being asked to consider whether the current cap on Charter Schools in massachusetts should be lifted. Proponents say this will allow students, especially in minority communities, more choice and opportunity. Right now, there are about 33,000 bay state students on a waiting list for Charter Schools. Deplete funding and detract from the current quality of local Public Schools. Opponents project that in 10 years, the number of Charter Schools would nearly triple and that would take away the estimate of 1 billion from Public Schools.
