Synopsis It is a catastrophic situation that asks us to stay alert and cautious as the slightest of carelessness is likely to result into a cause of great trouble, Birla told people of his Kota-Bundi constituency in Rajasthan during an interaction through video conferencing.

Birla also said that collective efforts are required to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and break the transmission chain of the virus.
In the first COVID-19 wave mostly urban areas were affected, but this time a large number of cases are being reported from rural areas and some villages have registered over 25 per cent positivity rate, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said on Friday. He also called for establishing a healthcare network at the village level so that a person suffering from the coronavirus disease can be provided adequate medical care near his house.

KOTA: Two labourers from Rajasthan, who had gone to Saudi Arabia for work three years ago, have been held ‘captive’, subjected to inhuman torture for over four months in Yanbu city despite their work agreement expired in November 2020. They are Gaffar Mohammed (49) of Bundi and Vishram Jatav (46) of Bharatpur.
Congress leader Charmesh Sharma, who has so far facilitated safe return of over 400 Indians having been illegally stuck or held in Arabia in past, initiated attempt for their home return and lodged a complaint with the ministry of external affairs on March 20 and also wrote to the authorities concerned demanding immediate action for their safe return.

Kota (Rajasthan), Dec 23 (PTI) Family members of a woman who was set to return to India in a few days after being allegedly held hostage by her employer in Saudi Arabia have lost contact with her again, according to a local Rajasthan Congress leader.
A video of the 40-year-old Reena Gehlodh from Madhya Pradesh s Harda district seeking help for her return surfaced online on November 15, Bundi district Congress vice president Charmesh Sharma.
