Fallout from the clash between White Nationalists and counter protesters yesterdayers dueling rally turned deadly when a car plowed into a group of those who oppose the altright. 32yearold Heather Heyer was killed by that speeding car. Hes now charged with Second Degree murder. When the organizer of the unite the right rally tried to speak to the press today there was violence again. Theyre now launching civil rights investigations into that womans death, most of the White Supremacists seem to have left town today but there was that violent alteration when their leader tried to hold a press conference. Demonstrators gathered just feet from the white house marching, chanting and directly countering white supremacist groups who carried out the weekends protests in charlottesville as White Nationalists joined by the kkk neonazis and armed militia demonstrated in the streets at some point beating count counterprotests are. It ended with a deadly attack when a car rapped into a group of demonstrators and injuring up to 19 individuals and killing Heather Heyer. Here was a video of the events and a warning, it is disturbing to watch. The man allegedly behind the wheel, 20yearold james alex fields jr. Of ohio was apprehended by police after fleeing the scene and charged with Second Degree murder and due in court today. His mother claims she didnt know where he was going this weekend. I just knew he was going to a rally. I mean, you know, i tried to stay out of his political views. I didnt know it was White Supremacists.
Bridge. They believe a 40yearold passenger was shot in the face inside the car. Right now the victim is in the hospital. They say theyre not investigating this as a case of road rage.
