GODFREY The RiverBend Growth Association has named Bakers & Hale at 7120 Montclair Ave., Godfrey, as its Small Business of the Month for February 2021. Established in 2018 by co-owner and executive chef Kelsi Baker Walden and consulting chef Rex Hale, the farm-to-table restaurant offers American cuisine with comfort food flair. “While growing up I would visit the farm where my grandfather raised beef and my grandmother always had a bountiful garden,” said Baker Walden. “When she cooked fresh meals daily, I discovered my love of cooking while watching grandmother cook and learned to work hard for what I wanted through my parents.”
