A former Galloway Township firefighter has been hailed as a hero in New Hampshire after he and his wife helped rescue two young men who fell through a sheet of ice.
Wakefield, NH Police Chief Michael Fenton said the cries for help from the pair in the pond named Charlie Fielding’s Pond were heard by Rick Wehrhan, a retired NJ firefighter.

The cries for help from two young men in Charlie Fielding’s Pond were heard by Rick and Deborah Wehrhan. Deborah called 911 while Rick grabbed a ring buoy and ran towards the pond.
