Beverly Heminway
MIDDLEBURY – Mrs. Beverly (Sandbach) Heminway, 89, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Feb. 15, 2021. She was the widow of Andrew Reid Heminway.
Bev was born in Hamden on Sept. 16, 1931, daughter of the late Wilmer and Helen (Lewis) Sandbach. She graduated from Chaffee High School, class of 1949, and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Connecticut College in 1953.
Bev married the love of her life, Andy Heminway, in 1954, whereupon they settled in Middlebury to raise their three children. After their children were grown, Bev went to work for H&R Block and eventually become an enrolled agent for the IRS. She opened her own tax business in Watertown and retired in 2011.
