“I thought it would be really cool and revitalize the Christmas spirit and belief in Santa Claus if I could get Santa to drop off Johnathan at home as an early Christmas gift,” said Sarah, who met Johnathan in the Army and also serves with the National Guard, although she’s on leave right now.
So the older kids wrote letters to Santa.
“I saw the letters they wrote to Santa,” Johnathan Bartee said. “It was tear-shedding, to be honest.”
Johnathan Bartee, a member of the United States Army, is delivered to his family for the holidays. James Mitchell of Jackson coordinated the drop-off with the help of friends and delivered the serviceman with a sleigh and a parade of old cars.
