Feb 24, 2021 John Eastlake, 79, of South Williamsport hiked to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport with his loving wife and all four children holding his hands. Born July 16, 1941 in Greenville, PA, John was the son of the late James A. Eastlake and A. Martha (Bricher) Eastlake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger sister, Katherine at a very young age. John is survived by his wife of 56 years (June 6, 1964), Joan (Matovic) Eastlake, his daughter, Alicia (Greg) Swaggerty of Cocoa Beach, FL, daughter, Cynthia “Cyndi” (Randy) Jackemeyer of Fort Wayne, IN, son David (Cindy Casale) Eastlake of Williamsport, PA, son, Brian (Mindy) Eastlake of Spotsylvania, VA; six grandchildren, Danica & Samantha Swaggerty, Carolina & Sara Eastlake, Nate & Ashlee Jackemeyer. He is also survived by his brother Edward (Ellen) Eastlake of Springfield, MA, nieces Erica (Rob & son, Owen) Lucier of Palmer, MA and Rachel (Bret)

Jan 11, 2021 Daniel J. DeVito, 88, of South Williamsport went home to be with our heavenly Father, on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021. Born June 11, 1932 at home on William Street, “Little Italy’s section” of Williamsport. Daniel was the son of the late Adolph B. and Rose Marie DeVito. He was married to the “love of his life” Beverly A. Cardennis until his death. Mr. DeVito was a member of The Italian Christian Church at Williamsport. Daniel moved to the family farm on “The Hill” in South Williamsport in 1942, where he eventually built a home and raised his family. Having served in the U.S. Army as an MP during the Korean War, upon return he went back to work at Avco, later Textron Lycoming for 42 years.

Dec 15, 2020 Bonnie M. Richards, 97, died Saturday Dec. 12, 2020 at Embasy Health Care of Loyalsock, Montoursville, where she had resided for several years. Born at Williamsport, on Oct. 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Susan L. Maynard (nee Flowers) Quay. She and her husband, Charles M. Richards, were longtime residents of Syracuse, N.Y. Bonnie and Chuck married Nov. 9, 1945 and celebrated 50 years of marriage before Chuck’s death on May 25, 1996. She returned to Williamsport in 2009 to be near family. Bonnie was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Chuck’s business. She enjoyed golfing at Pompey and Drumlins country clubs near Syracuse and bowling, both of which she engaged in into her 80s. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Williamsport and Saint Alban Episcopal Church in Syracuse.
