Puddle of Mudd will close the rock concert July 3 at Trustees’ Garden. Connect Savannah and Rock 106.1 are taking live entertainment from the pages of the magazine and the sound waves of radio to the lawn at Trustees’ Garden for a July 3 concert featuring Puddle of Mudd, Sponge and Filter.
The concert will be a 20th anniversary celebration of Savannah’s local rock radio station, Rock 106.1, in collaboration with local news, arts, and entertainment magazine, Connect Savannah, and the first of its kind in Savannah in a very long time, according to Aaron Wilborn, Market Manager for Dick Broadcasting Radio and DBC Next, the company’s digital company.

Leopold’s Ice Cream has partnered with Byrd Cookie Company to create a signature ice cream flavor celebrating Connect Savannah, and they’ve named it Connecting Savannah Legacies.
“It really is for Connect Savannah,” said Stratton Leopold, owner and operator of Leopold’s Ice Cream.
The flavor combines Byrd Cookie Company’s Key Lime Coolers, Leopold’s vanilla ice cream made with Georgia-grown blueberries and an added lime zest.
“We see it as three Savannah institutions coming together,” Leopold said.
