EAST HAMPTON The battle lines are being drawn as a group of residents seek to fend off a zone change that could lead to construction of what one resident called a “mega” gas station.
At issue is a proposal to change the zoning on a parcel of land at the intersection of Main Street and Route 16 to allow expansion of an existing gas station/convenience store.
Some residents questioned whether there is need for what neighbor Kate Avery described as the “mega” station in a residential neighborhood.
