My family came for a library visit one day in early March. We had only been open to the public for a few days, so word was just beginning to spread that our space was again available. It was a quiet afternoon until my two boys, ages 3 ½ and 1, arrived. After saying our hellos and grabbing a few stickers, I ushered everyone over into the children s area. The fish tank! The computer stations designed for early learners! A colorful hopscotch rug! A fun I Spy… display! And of course, books galore. After their visit, library staff all sighed, realizing how nice it had been to hear those small joyful voices in the library once again.
