Exactly 100 years ago tonight, three men were taken from their homes in Dromore and brutally shot in what was one of the worst incidents of the War of Independence.
Now, for the first time, this new podcast tells the story of that night, the deaths of Charles Slevin, Daniel J O’Doherty and John Devine and the impact on the local community both at the time and during the past century.
Produced and edited by Alan Rodgers, with extracts from the Ulster Herald archive read by Editor, Nigel McDonagh, the podcast hears from local historian, Pat McCusker, who has carried out extensive research into the 1921 Dromore Murders.
