Nine men have been charged with historic sexual offending at Dilworth. Continued name suppression was opposed by both Crown prosecutor Jacob Barry and Robert Stewart, who is acting for a number of media organisations, including
Stuff. More than 100 former Dilworth students have made complaints, alleging historical sexual offending. The alleged offending occurred as far back as the 1970s and as recently as the early 2000s. To date, a total of nine men in their 60s and 70s have been charged with a number of sex and drugs charges, including alleged sexual violation, indecent assault, sexual exploitation and supplying drugs.

Another man charged in relation to allegations of historical sex offending linked to Dilworth School can now be named.
Graeme Charles Lindsay faces three charges of indecent assault.
Lindsay is one of nine men charged as part of Operation Beverly, the police operation into alleged offending at Auckland s Dilworth School between the 1970s and early 2000s.
