Native Plant Society of Texas honors Tarleton professor

STEPHENVILLE Tarleton State University professor James Muir, Ph.D., was presented this year’s Charles Leonard Weddle Memorial Award by the Native Plant Society of Texas for lifetime achievement in the field of Texas native plants.
In addition to his work in the Tarleton Wildlife, Sustainability and Ecosystems Science Department, Muir is a grassland ecologist with the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Stephenville and a Regents Professor in Texas A&M’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Soil and Crop Sciences.
