INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) Authorities are asking the public for help in locating a man who failed to register as a sex offender.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 48-year-old Charles Jackson Jr. Jackson is wanted for two counts of failing to register as a sex offender.
Jackson was previously convicted for sexual battery with a weapon in Florida in 2002, according to authorities.
Jackson is 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. Authorities are asking anyone for information about Jackson’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477. © 2021 Circle City Broadcasting I, LLC. | All Rights Reserved.
A security guard was in critical condition Friday after being shot twice late Thursday in the parking lot of a Raeford Road bar, police said.
Charles Jackson Jr., 50, was with other security guards breaking up a fight in the parking lot of Phat Daddy s Sports Bar & Grille, 3406 Raeford Road, when shots rang out and Jackson was hit about 11 p.m., according to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department. Jackson was taken by ambulance to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in critical condition, according to a news release Friday morning.
The shooter fled in a white Mercedes SUV-style vehicle, police said. The suspect was involved in an altercation in the parking lot with other patrons that had been refused entry into the business, the release said.
