The single-vehicle crash on Route 70 near La Grange, in Lenoir County, North Carolina, occurred at 2:49 a.m. April 24, when the motorcycle Ciancanelli was riding went off the road and struck a guardrail, television station WITN reported. State troopers said speed was a factor, according to the report.
