ADRIAN It was a snowy day in March 1866 when the historic Croswell Opera House in downtown Adrian first opened its doors to the public.
The live theater venue at 129 E. Maumee St. will recognize its 155th anniversary of its opening with an open house from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 19.
Admission to the open house is free. Face masks must be worn by all of those in attendance.
Guests to the open house will be invited to learn about the history of the theater through a video tour that will be played on the Croswell’s big screen every half hour throughout the afternoon and evening. Longtime Croswell artists John MacNaughton and Stephen Kiersey will host the history tour.
