Transportation safety board say that the crew called for the landing to be aborted 1. 5 seconds before the crash. The Asiana Airlines boeing 777 crashed and burst into flames as it landed on saturday. About 300 people were on board. The u. S. Ntsb has been examining the data from flight recorders recovered from the burnedout jet. The target speed for the approach was 137 knots. The approach proceeds normally as they descend. There is no discussion of any aircraft anomalies or concerns with the approach. Hersman says that the voice recorder says that the speed on approach was far slower than the target speed.
