Thermalito neighborhood threatened by fire that crews knocked down
Fire crews contained a fire that broke out on Grand Ave. to just 11.5 acres Tuesday afternoon.

THERMALITO, Calif. - A fire that broke out at around noon in Thermalito on Grand Ave. and 14th St. caused a scare for neighbors until crews got things under control.
Evacuations were ordered by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office to Tehama Avenue from 12th St. to 16th St. These were lifted once forward progress stopped at around 1:15 p.m., but many neighbors stuck around to watch the fire fighters knock down the fire.
