Chester residents evacuated following gas leak at property

RESIDENTS at Moston properties near Chester had to be evacuated due to a gas leak on Sunday, April 11. Two fire engines were called to the scene in Harington Road at 5.03pm, following reports of a fire at a property. On arrival, the crews found that the fire was out on arrival but there was a gas leak. The crews set up one hose reel jet and one covering jet and stemmed the leak with paste. Some residents were evacuated and a cordon was put in place. There were no injuries reported. Firefighters then handed the scene over to gas engineers.
