Arkansas alum Taliyah Brooks finished as the silver medalist in the heptathlon at the USATF Championships with 6,319 points and potentially will represent Team USA in the World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, later this summer.
Chari Hawkins, who went to Utah State, finished third in the heptathlon at the U.S. track and field championships Friday in Eugene, Ore., to earn a spot on the U.S. team that will compete in the world championships in four weeks.
Arkansas alum Taliyah Brooks is currently in second place in the heptathlon at the USATF Championships while eight athletes advanced from the first round of their respective events at Hayward Field on Thursday.
