hello again, everyone. thanks for joining me. i m fredricka whitfield. we begin with a grim discovery in oklahoma. last night four bodies were pulled from a river in a town about 35 miles south of tulsa. this comes after four men, all close friends, went missing in that town sunday evening after reportedly going for a bike ride. police are not saying whether the bodies pulled from the river last night are these missing men. cnn s camilla bernal joins me. reporter: hey, fred. we are waiting for the medical examiner s office to identify the bodies. we are told by authorities it is a difficult process because these bodies were in the water for a long period of time. now we know the autopsies gone at 8:30 in the morning. it is unclear if they are going to get to all four bodies by the end of day because of how difficult this process is going to be. now, we do know that someone was near the river, saw something suspicious, and called police. when police officers went out there
the grotesque and cynical politics behind the florida governor s migrant stunt. just like the racist reverse freedom rides of the 1960s, these migrants were lied to every step of the way, so desantis could own the libs. also tonight, new reporting from the washington post on how trump s team grossly mischaracterized the nature of the documents that he was keeping at mar-a-lago. when the national archives first asked for them back. and what a way to end the week. fresh from her triumphant victory at the emmy awards, sheryl lee ralph from abbott elementary joins me tonight. we begin with the freedom riders. the group of white and black civil rights activists who rode buses across the south in 1961 with the goal of integrating public transportation and bus terminals. one of the original 13 freedom riders was the late great congressman john lewis. it was a bold act of resistance to challenge the segregation laws and the riders encounters violence, beatings, and yale time.
was richard nixon right when he said when a president does it, that means it s not illegal? well. a judge may have just said in one very specific and important way that, yeah, he might be right. tonight sara wallace says that donald trump gets to stay on the pilot in colorado. this despite the judge finding and saying in pretty plain english that donald trump engaged in an insurrection. during the january 6th attack on the united states capitol. now, the court found that trump intended to incite political violence, that trump wanted to direct it at the capitol, and that trump s plan was to stop the peaceful transfer of power. and that trump was not, in fact, protected by the first amendment when he said that. we are going to walk down to the capitol and we re gonna cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women and we re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. because you ll never take back our country with weakness. you have to show strength. w
