No agreement has been reached to reopen the government and raise the debt limit. The House Chamber will gaveling at noon eastern for morning hour, 2 00 legislative work. The house continuing their approach to take a shortterm funding bills to reopen parts of the federal government. This afternoon, they deal with one dealing with indian affairs. Lawmakers will continue to debate on a measure in the senate to lift the debt ceiling until 2014. According to treasury secretary jack lew, nations Borrowing Limit will be met this thursday. Woes that end up in the city budget that we have to address. So i want to support that all our citizens have free access to our parks, and as many opportunities as we can possibly give them. I have seen my share of pain. Im secondgeneration and i remember my father, when prop 13 got passed, and what we went through back then. And now my generation has had to deal with the pain and its nice to see that for a change, we have recreational positions coming. I have one of the curious things in our department is when we do actually hire, the rumormill starts and the rumormill is better than any twitter account you could possibly hear right now,
It back over to steve to give you more details and talk a little bit about what department is doing and is planning to do to respond to some of our recommendations. So overall scores this year were incredibly consistent over last year. They did go up from 88. 3 on average last year to 88. 4 this year. So that is pretty consistent and generally pretty highscoring. In terms of look at longer term, going back to the beginning of the parks program, you can see that the overall trend park scores have improved and then this also just breaks down for you you can see kind of orderly how the park scores vary. Some of that is just variances by season and to be expected. Again, this can just show you the average over last year is very consistent. This chart here shows you some the distribution of the scores across the city. So the red there is parks below 80 . The yellow is parks between i believe its 80 and 90 . And then the green there is parks scoring above 90 . And so overall the distribution
