all right, joining us once again live from london with the very latest from nbc, chapman bell. chapman good to see you once again. north korea state media said this test was a new, much more powerful missile which reportedly has a range of the entire enter continental united states. what more can you tell us about this? well, president trump mentioning james mattis there, the defense secretary, saying about the launch went higher than any previous shot taken. they re calling it a research and development effort on their part to continue building ballistic missiles that can threaten everywhere on earth. for what it s worth, north korea has announced on state tv, it s a new type which is tipped with a warhead capable of striking the whole mainland of the united states. after the test launch, the south korean military conducted a precision-type drill as a show of force to show what their response will be to that location in north korea where the launch took place.
