After 13 years of appealing to the Town for help with the issue, Appell tried a new approach at the June 28 meeting, held via Zoom, of the committee of the whole.
“What I’m proposing tonight is that Council would seriously and carefully consider amending this bylaw to allow lakeview and lakeside owners of properties to request a supervised trimming of trees to either improve to maintain their view of the lake while respecting the need to not interfere with erosion control,” Appell said.
