History shifts over time and perhaps it is so with the two men who are the subjects of this evenings program. Western churchill exercised an influence over the immediate postwar depreciation of allied leadership. He was admired for his determination after the fall of france in 1940 through the battle of britain and for his warning an iron curtain was dissenting after the war. His reputation was helped in no small measures to build his own magisterial six volume series, the second world war. Perhaps the first great fiction that the war generated. Obviously we are a huge military base here. Barber is the Largest Naval base in the world. So it is vibrant. The economic engine is definitely the port of virginia. We started off by saying it had 43 billion in the commonwealth. 343,000 jobs, one in 11 jobs in the state is tied to the port of virginia. So about 2 million containers per year right now. If you do the math every sixth container that might be going down the road are on a train represents one virginia job. Every container has an impact of 20,000 to our states economy. The port of virginia is huge to the commonwealth of virginia. So the governor understands that the board of commissioners, our responsibility is to return

And also today, the 75th ranger recommending men reenacted the scalingg of the cliff here in normandy in a tribute to those who had come before them. Some of the boys now in their 90s came back here to witness the tribute. It was emotional and sometimes very painful for them. It brings back a few bad memories because the boys that gotbo killed, you know . They came up here and they knew they had a chance to be killed. H and some of them got killed. Well, its the last hurrah. I would be over 100 if we had a 80th and definitely not going to come here after my 80th. Te so, no. Thats thats it. This was this is the last.
