Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) along with its seven federating units — Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU), Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), Tikhir Students’ union (TSU), United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC), Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako (YAA) — and 63 orchestrated clusters consisting of 451 sub-ordinate students bodies kick started its public walkathon in all the tribal headquarters, administrative headquarters and sub-divisions of eastern Nagaland region as part of its first phase of agitation for a separate Frontier Nagaland state. Our ReporterDimapur, Oct.6 (EMN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation’s (ENSF) proposed mass public walkathon in all administrative and tribal headquarters under eastern Nagaland is set to commence today, marking the first phase of agitation for the Frontier Nagaland statehood demand called by the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation. A source informed Eastern Mirror that after the peaceful walkathon, a memorandum on behalf of the federating units will be submitted to the government of India (GoI) through the respective district deputy commissioners on Oct. 7, and the next phase of agitation will depend on the response of the GoI. Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) has temporarily suspended its ongoing indefinite agitation in connection with the relocation of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Tuensang. The student body informed in a press release that the agitation was suspended with effect from June 22 in view of the approval letter from the Commissioner Office on Tuesday. However, it said it will resume the agitation if the state government fails to implement its demand by July 15. The Chang Students’ Conference also acknowledged the district administration, security force, federating units, Chang apex organisations and the people of Tuensang for adhering to its directives during the agitation.
