Loved ones said their first cause of concern was when the Arizona woman left without her dog and turned her phone off.
Missing Arizona woman Jessica Goodwin, whom authorities and loved ones agreed disappeared under mysterious circumstances, was found alive over the weekend. Investigators said they were able to trace phone records to an Indian Reservation outside of Phoenix, where they found the 28-year-old Sunday afternoon dehydrated and in critical condition.
She was airlifted to the hospital and as of Monday morning, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office announced that her health was improving. This is the outcome we have all been hoping and praying for,” Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb said in a statement on Twitter.
Gila River Indian Reservation, a desert-like area some 30 miles from her home.
No foul play suspected
The recovered woman who had been exposed to the desert just under a week was airlifted to hospital. It remained unclear what type of injuries she’d suffered.
Authorities said Goodwin suffered
‘severe dehydration’ while noting her condition was improving.
To date no suspects have been cited nor any arrests been made. No foul play was suspected while Goodwin’s abrupt disappearance continued to remain a mystery.

SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. - The Pinal County Sheriff s Office says a missing
San Tan Valley woman who vanished under mysterious circumstances was found alive on Sunday, Jan. 17.
The sheriff s office says 28-year-old Jessica Goodwin was not heard from after when she called off work on Jan. 11. Deputies say Goodwin went missing after the call and left her dog at home.
Phone records led rescue crews to an area in the Gila River Indian Community. They found Goodwin around 4:45 p.m.
