GOC Pano Aqil says Afghan situation to affect Pakistan

SUKKUR: The general officer commanding (GOC), Pano Aqil Garrison, Major General Ghulam Shabbir Narijo, on Monday visited the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana, and Chandka Medical College.
GOC Pano Aqil said he was thankful to vice-chancellor of SBBMU, Larkana, of inviting him to share his views with students and faculty members, appreciating the efforts of Anila Ata-ur-Rehman, the first female vice-chancellor of any medical university in Pakistan, who has initiated some good projects. He said the changing situation in Afghanistan would have a direct impact on Pakistan, as we had already rendered great sacrifices in the war on terror. The army officer said the nation has currently been dealing with terrorism as well as the fifth generation war.

ISLAMABAD: In a first, a Hindu woman in Pakistan has cleared the country s prestigious Central Superior Services (CSS) examination and has been selected for the elite Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS).
Sana Ramachand is an MBBS doctor, hailing from rural area of Shikarpur district in Sindh province, which has the largest Hindu population in Pakistan. She is one of the 221 candidates declared successful in the CSS examination out of the 18,553 who had appeared in the written tests.
