The Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage in south Kashmir resumed with a fresh batch of 1,626 pilgrims leaving the base camp in Jammu. The 34th batch of devotees left in 64 vehicles between 3.30 am and 3.45 am. Subsequently, pilgrims were halted at Chanderkote Yatri Niwas, Ramban district, due to a landslide which occurred on the 270-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway near Keela Morh. The officials urged travellers not to use the all-weather road until restoration works are completed.
