Three people were killed and four others critically injured as a jeep, popularly known as Chander Gari, fell into a ditch in Bandarban s Thanchi upazila yesterday.
Officer-in-charge of Thanchi police station Saifuddin Anwar said the vehicle plunged into a ditch around 10:00am after losing control leaving the three people killed on the spot and four others critically injured.
The dead were identified as Md Hossain, 60, of Cox s Bazar s Chakaria area, Payel Bawm, 27, of Baklai area, and Ashraf Ali, 50, of Chattogram s Bazalia area, he said, adding that the vehicle was headed for Thanchi from Baklai.
