Punjab 2024 Lok Sabha polls: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Kirron Kher of the BJP was the winning candidate from the Chandigarh Lok Sabha constituency, securing 231,188 votes, while 184,218 votes were polled in favour of Pawan Kumar Bansal of the INC. Pawan Kumar Bansal lost by 46,970 votes. The Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat has oscillated between the Congress and BJP.
