A few days back, Aatish Kapadia, the creator of the hit comedy ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ informed fans about the unofficial remake of the show made in Pakistan. He said that it was not only made without his permission (and therefore illegal) but was also written badly without understanding the logic behind the original.
Now, actor Rajesh Kumar who played the role of Rosesh Sarabhai has also slammed the remake titled ‘Chana Jor Garam’.
Hindustan Times quoted him saying, “We got this as a Whatsapp forward and couldn’t believe that this has actually happened. This Pakistani show called Chana Jor Garam is a frame to frame copy. It’s a total copyright violation. They’ve destroyed the essence of the show, seems like they’ve not understood the show to begin with and made a complete mockery out of it. The humour is substandard. It’s a disaster.”
