该院急诊/重症医学科副主任陈永华指出，因为藿香正气水里面含有药用乙醇，张奶奶的胸痛很可能是因为“头孢+酒”所引起的“双硫仑反应”。一旦出现双硫仑样反应，患者须及时停药和停用含乙醇的制品，轻者通常可自行缓解，较重者则需要及时前往医院咨询、就诊。据了解，某些药物与乙醇联用时，将抑制肝脏乙醛脱氢酶的活性，使乙醇在体内氧化为乙醛后，无法再继续分解氧化，从而导致体内乙醛不断蓄积并产生一系列不良反应：如面部潮红、眼结膜充血、视觉模糊、头颈部血管剧烈搏动或搏动性头痛头晕、恶心、呕吐、出汗、胸痛、心肌梗塞、急性心衰、呼吸困难、急性肝损伤、惊厥甚至死亡等等，其严重程度与用药剂量和饮酒量成正比关系，老年人、儿童、心脑血管疾病患者及对乙醇敏感者则更为严重。
