Covid-19: SMJK Sam Tet in Ipoh closed for two days

IPOH: SMJK Sam Tet has been instructed to close for two days after two Covid-19 cases were detected at the school. In a letter that was sent to parents and caretakers sighted by The Star dated Wednesday (May 5), school principal Chan Kok Wai said the school has been ordered to close on May 6 and 7 for sanitisation and physical disinfection. Chan also hoped that all parents would advise their children to stay at home and to carry out home-based teaching and learning. On Tuesday (May 4), SK St Michael here was ordered to close from May 4 to 5 after a Covid-19 case is believed to have been detected at the premises.
