During a recent interview on Sportskeeda.com s Legion of RAW podcast, former WWE creative writer Vince Russo has some strong words about this past Monday s WWE Raw:
“This is it in a nutshell. I’m telling you. He (Vince McMahon) is not a television writer. He is not, bro; there is an art to television writing. And I’ll tell you that Chris, Ed Ferrara taught me a lot. Ed worked in Hollywood. He had written ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’, Weird Science, he had written a couple of movies. Ed was a television writer. So, Ed really took me under his wing when it came to that aspect of storytelling and characters.”
In a recent interview with BT Sport, Daniel Bryan discussed his in-ring future with WWE: So, I’m confident in my body and longevity, but it’s also like now, my life I’ve got different priorities as far as like I still love wrestling and I feel like I’ll always wrestle as long as I can physically do it. But do I want to continue to wrestle full time when you’ve got two babies at home? So now I am switching priorities in my life where for years wrestling has been the key focus. Like my contract is coming up soon, and we’re looking at me transitioning to maybe less than a full-time wrestler. My time being a full-time wrestler are numbered. I’m going to be more like a full-time dad, part-time wrestler. Wrestling is my side job, daddy is my most important job.

As seen during Sunday night’s WWE TLC pay-per-view event, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander defeated The New Day to win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships. Following the match, Benjamin dedicated the win to the late Shad Gaspard on social media.
WWE published the following video with Benjamin commenting on his dedication to Shad. He said:
“Knowing that I had gone in there and dedicated this moment to Shad. When I attended his funeral I made a promise to myself that if I won a title, especially a tag team championship because I know Shad and JTG worked hard even though they never actually got a chance to wear a title. I made a point then that no matter what title it was going to be, it was going to be dedicated to Shad.

Last week’s WWE Raw drew a historically low viewership, and things didn t improve much for this Monday s episode which featured all the fallout from WWE TLC pay-per-view.
Showbuzz Daily revealed the red-brand drew an overnight three hour average of 1.691 viewers, an increase from last week’s 1.52 million.
It was the fourth most watch show on cable behind Monday Night Football. The show averaged a .65 in the 18-49 demographic.
Vince McMahon is reportedly looking to reboot the brand over the next several weeks to try and increase viewership heading into the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
