Dec 17, 2020 At least one person was injured in a fight at a liquor store in Goshen on Wednesday. Goshen police responded to a call about three or four men fighting at Chalet Party Shoppe, 2703 Caragana Court, around 6:15 p.m. One man was taken to Goshen Hospital to receive treatment for a head laceration, police said in a report. Police didn’t know whether any of the other men were injured during the incident. ARRESTS • Stephanie Randolph, 29, 22103 C.R. 28, Goshen, was arrested by Goshen police and jailed on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at C.R.s 28 and 17 around 11:25 p.m. Wednesday.

POLICE NEWS: Police respond to dual hit-and-run crashes

Dec 10, 2020 Two drivers alleged they were victims of a hit-and-run crash in the same area of Elkhart Road on Wednesday. Bradley Kimpel, Goshen, reported to Goshen police his vehicle was involved in a crash in the 4000 block of Elkhart Road around 5:45 p.m. The driver of the other vehicle left the scene on foot, according to a police report. Preston Eck, Goshen, also reported his vehicle was struck by an SUV in the 4000 block of Elkhart Road and that the SUV’s driver fled. ARREST Alicia Simpson, 30, 801 Benham Ave., Elkhart, was arrested by Goshen police on a charge of theft at Walmart, 4024 Elkhart Road, around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday. Simpson was released at the scene with a citation to appear in court.
