(Photo: Nujaree Rakrun) NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: The Fourth Army Area has set up two field hospitals inside a military base in Thung Song district to accommodate rising Covid-19 cases in this southern province. The number of Covid cases in Nakhon Si Thammarat in the new round of the outbreak has risen to 193, including 55, a one-day record, that provincial health authorities reported on Saturday.

The by-election in Constituency 3 will not alter the political landscape  as the coalition led by Palang Pracharath has a comfortable majority in the House. However, it has attracted national attention after the Democrats, led by sacked MP Thepthai Senpong, attacked Palang Pracharath  for lacking “political etiquette” by fielding a candidate in the traditional Democrat stronghold.
