Kohima, July 16 (EMN): A three month-long archery coaching camp for girls of Phek district concluded at Chozuba under Phek district on Saturday. Around 40 archers were given basics archery training under the guidance of archery coach Khosazo Thisa, Nagaland Archery Coach Hunezo Thisa and Olympian Chekrovolu Swuro. The free coaching camp started on April 26 and concluded on July 16. The event was organised by the district administration in collaboration with Chakhesang Archery Association (CAA). During the closing ceremony, certificates were given to the participants, while some of the archers were selected for the forthcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in the month of August. Speaking on the occasion, Phek DC Razouvolie Dozo, stressed on the need to take up sports as a career rather than a recreational activity.
