New Delhi: The seventh batch of the MBA program and the first batches of the MBA Human Resources and MBA Business Analytics programs were inaugurated on July 10, 2021, in the presence of Shri Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, BoG of IIM Amritsar, Prof. Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director IIM Amritsar, Prof. Pavneet Singh, Chairperson Admissions and Prof. Pankaj Gupta, Chairperson MBA.
Batch Demographics
The seventh batch of MBA and pioneer batches of MBA Human Resources and MBA Analytics comprise 274 students altogether. The success of an MBA program depends on the diversity it provides. What did IIM-A change in CAT?
When IIM Ahmedabad conducted CAT 2015 with Prof Tathagat Bandyopadhyay as the convenor, the institute had introduced changes in the set test pattern. The institute had:
compressed the testing window to one day
introduced Non-MCQ or TITA (Type In The Answer) questions that did not penalize the candidate with negative marks. (MCQs or Multiple Choice Questions award negative marks to the candidate for incorrect attempts.)
Prof Ram Mohan is an Associate Professor in Business Policy Area since 2017 at IIM Ahmedabad. Prior to this he was Associate Professor at Department of Policy Studies, TERI University from 2015 to 2017. He served at Regulatory and Governance Division:
TERI, New Delhi from 2004 to 2012 and served as Research Faculty at Centre for Law, Technology and Development, National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata from 2001 to 2003. Apart from this he was a practicing Advocate at Trivandrum District Court, Kerala from 1997-1999.
Known for his flair for research and writing, Prof Ram Mohan has been keen on research. His research interests have been in the areas of Commerical and Business Law, Studies on Judiciary, Law, Strategy and Organizations, Business and Professional negligence, Energy and Infrastructure law, Restatement of Indian Contract Law.
