ISLAMABAD: The Challenge Fashion Group, a Chinese company on Wednesday vowed to expand its business under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Pakistan which would create over 20,000 jobs for locals, CPEC Authority Chairman Lt General (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa said.
He said the Chinese investor had already established a textile factory in Lahore which was a huge export-oriented unit. In his tweet, Bajwa said the textile factory being run by the Chinese Challenge Fashion Group had produced over 5,000 jobs for locals.
During his visit to the factory in Lahore, Asim Bajwa expressed satisfaction over the establishment of the unit of international standard, saying that the owner of the company was now keen to establish a separate Special Economic Zone in Pakistan that would be exclusively an export-oriented zone.

CPEC Authority Chairman Lt General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa Tuesday said no power on earth could sabotage China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as it was the country’s national project.
Addressing a ceremony at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here, he said CPEC, being a flagship project of the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, had improved the road connectivity between the two countries and would do so further. On eastern alignment of CPEC, Bajwa said only one section Sukkur-Hyderabad was left that had already been launched by the Prime Minister Imran Khan recently.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is determined to complete all China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects.
In a meeting on Friday to review progress on the CPEC projects, PM Khan expressed his satisfaction over the pace of the ongoing projects. He said CPEC projects will be completed at all costs.
CPEC is a testimony of the time-tested and deep-rooted Pak-China friendship, the premier said. He expressed the belief that CPEC will continue to take pre-eminence in the country s development strategy.
