County commissioners in Miami-Dade recently passed an item that gives Mayor Daniella Levine Cavaâs office 60 days to complete a study about the potential effects of a business reciprocity agreement between Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, potentially signaling that Keys businesses could be given local preference for public projects within Miami-Dade County. Broward and Palm Beach counties are also now part of the proposal.
The item passed despite opposition from some commissioners, who said that they should worry strictly about Miami-Dade businesses and not those from neighboring counties. It was pointed out that this resolution only requires that a study be conducted about the potential effects of such an agreement.

EXECUTIVES of top listed companies attributed their success to the opportunities and funding they were able to unlock at the stock market through an initial public offering (IPO).
“I think it is evident from the stories and insights of our resource speakers that had their companies opted to remain private family entities, they may not have been able to fast-track their growth and expansion,” Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon S. Monzon said.
In a bid to boost listings, the PSE invited top executives of companies with successful IPO experiences to share their stories in an online briefing called “The Road to IPO.” At least 600 participants tuned into the live webcast.

THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) has tapped top executives of listed firms to share their successful initial public offering (IPO) experiences in a bid to encourage more companies to list at the local bourse.
“What better way to embolden companies to conduct an IPO than to hear meaningful insights from those who have successfully gone through the IPO route, and continue to reap the benefits of being a listed company,” Ramon S. Monzon, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the PSE, said in a statement on Thursday.
The PSE said it wants business leaders to realize that an IPO listing is “a catalyst to propel their companies to a higher level of growth and maturity.”
